  3. JRBUTILS v2.00

  5. Welcome to JRBUTILS version 2.00.
  6.  
  7. Some of the programs in JRBUTILS were originally developed by me as an aid
  8. for managing the Novell fileservers at Lincoln University. As a result of
  9. various requests for utilities on novell@suvm.bitnet and comp.sys.novell,
  10. I tidied some of my utilities, improved the error handling, and released
  11. them onto the Internet in early 1991. Development of these utilities and
  12. of new utilities has continued, in my own time. All the original programs
  13. have been rewritten in C (from Turbo Pascal) and in most cases have been
  14. significantly enhanced. In September 1992, with the support of the
  15. Director of the Centre for Computing and Biometrics at Lincoln University,
  16. I have obtained legal ownership of all programs in JRBUTILS.

  18. This release and future releases are provide by JRB Software. The
  19. utilities remain FREE but you can support their continued development
  20. by buying a manual for $US100.00. Documentation is no longer included
  21. with JRBUTILS, but every utility has in-built help, invoked by running
  22. the utility with '?', '-?' or '/?' as the only parameter.

  35. The programs in JRBUTILS are provided without warranty of any
  36. kind. Although, every effort has been made to ensure that they are
  37. bug free and perform as described, neither the author nor JRB software
  38. accept any liability whatsoever for any damages including lost profits
  39. or revenue, or any other consequential damages resulting from the use
  40. of programs in JRBUTILS. Any action, brought against the author or JRB 
  41. Software, will be under the jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

  47. BINDOPEN  Opens the bindery
  48. CHKHOME   For use with David Harris' SETHOME utility
  49. CREATOBJ  Creates bindery objects en masse
  50. DELOBJ    Deletes bindery objects en masse
  51. DISABLEL  Disables logins on a file server
  52. DOWNSRVR  Downs a file server
  53. DQUOTA    Displays quota, space used, space available for a single user
  54. ENABLEL   Enables logins on a file server
  55. GETACRES  Displays account restrictions for multiple users
  56. GETQUOTA  Displays quotas, space used, space available for multiple users
  57. GETSECEQ  Displays security equivalences, list who is equivalent to who
  58. GRPADDU   Adds users to groups
  59. GRPDELU   Removes users from groups
  60. GRPLIST   Lists the members of a group, or all users on the server
  61. KILLCONN  Clears connections from a file server
  62. LISTOBJ   Lists bindery objects of any type
  63. PWDEXP    Warns of impending password expiration
  64. RENOBJ    Renames bindery objects
  65. SETACRES  Sets account, time and station restrictions en masse
  66. SETFNAME  Sets the full name for user, groups, printservers
  67. SETOWNER  Sets file ownership en masse
  68. SETPWORD  Sets passwords en masse
  69. SETQUOTA  Sets disk/volume/directory quotas en masse
  70. SETXONLY  Sets the file attribute 'execute only'
  71. TRSTLIST  Lists trustees for users, groups, files, directories
  72. USERS     Lists users logged in on one or more servers
